Wish List #4

Socks : Topshop £3.50 // Pinafore : Topshop £42.00 // Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette : Urban Decay £20.00

Hey there...
It's been a bit since I've blogged but I got a bit swamped with uni work as soon as the Christmas holidays ended (the downside to being in 3rd year).

Anyway, I thought I would share with you a few bits I'm lusting after and with pay day coming soon I'll probably buy.

I love these cute Topshop socks, with winter in full swing I am living in boots, particularly my Chelsea boots and I think these would look so cute peeking out the top of them.. (plus 3 for £8 on socks, win!)

I loooove this pinafore.. I have been wanting a pinafore dress for so long but can never find one.  I first spotted this lovely playsuit on Olivia's blog and fell in love with it straight away.  Having seen it in real life I know I want it.

Finally, I've fallen for the hype of the new Naked Palette, it looks so perfect for my simple everyday eye make-up.  I'm going to try and resist though...

What do you think of my choices... Anything on here you're lusting after?

Va Va Violet...

I thought I would continue with yesterdays theme and share with you another Purple lipstick I have picked up recently.

I got this Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in colour 'Va Va Violet' for £5 in Boots the other day.  (All Revlon lip and nail products are currently £5 in Boots and Superdrug, super!)

When I swatched this on my hand in store it didn't look as dark as it does on my lips.  It is a very deep purple, when I look in the mirror (especially without my glasses) it looks black and with how pale I am I don't think it works on me.  I can't decide if I like this though because I like how it looks in these pictures but not in person.

When I bought it my friend Rosy said she wanted it too and I said she could just borrow mine and then I could borrow the colour she was looking at.  So I'll probably give it to her.

Despite not being overly keen on the colour the formula is great, it is really pigmented and doesn't really have a scent, so I'll probably get a couple more whilst they are so cheap.

What do you think, yay or nay?

HandM..e those lipsticks...

Thought this picture showed the lipstick quite well.

Of late I have come across a couple of delightful finds in H&M's cosmetics section, an area of the store I would usually skirt around.

A couple of month's ago I picked up the lipstick in the first group of pictures.  I got this when I was debating purple lipstick but wasn't sure whether to take the plunge.  I spotted it near the till for about £1.50, it's only small, but I thought it was perfect for just giving the colour a try.  I absolutely fell in love with it.  The pigment is great, I love the colour and it feels nice on the lips.  So I was pretty disappointed to find they didn't have it in a full size version.  To make matters worse when I decided I would get another couple to stock up it would appear they are no longer available.  Poo.

I was in H&M the other day and spotted the lipstick in the second lot of pictures.  Thinking it may be the same colour as the first lipstick I snapped it up.  But it isn't.  I still really love this lipstick though. It's a bit darker than the first one, more purple where the other is more pink, the pigment and feel is great on this one too.  And for only £3.99 it's an absolute bargain!  (I can't seem to find either of them on the website so I'd advise popping into the shop if you wanted to have a look.)

I love these lipsticks from H&M and I'm so glad I found them.  I'll definitely keep an eye on their make-up from now on.  What do you think?

2012 Favourites... Make Up.

Happy New Year 2013!

I know it's a few days late but from Christmas until now I've taken a bit of a break from blogging and (if it wasn't for work, damn retail) life in general.  It has been lovely.  I'm now back at uni ready from term to start on Monday.

I thought, maybe over a couple of posts, I would share my favourite products of 2012.

Here are my 5 favourite make-up products of 2012.  Each of these products I discovered in 2012 but use them everyday if not regularly.  Which just goes to show that sometimes even the most cemented make-up routine can be shaken up.

1. Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation  I love this!  This foundation has a lovely light coverage and really leaves my skin looking luminous and flawless.  I have this in colour BR10 which suits my skin tone perfectly but there are 22 colours to choose from so I'm sure you'll find one to suit.  I'd highly advise you give this a try.  Best of all YSL are quite liberal with their samples of this so you can go to them and ask to try it out.

2. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer I don't use concealer all the time.  But when I do it's because I really need it which means I need a good one that works.  This product is hyped all over blogosphere but with good reason, it is bloody good.  It has fantastic coverage and will cover those unsightly blemishes and under-eye circles in a flash.  It is also delightfully cheap.  I have this in shade Fair but it is also available in 3 other colours.

3.  Brow Zings  This has completely changed how my eyebrows look, for the better.  I have used this everyday since I got it and cannot imagine ever using another product.  This set comes with a pigmented wax for shaping your brows and a powder for setting.  I love this as it defines and shapes my brows but they still look natural.  No other brow product I have compares to this.  I have this in colour Medium but there are 2 other colours for you to choose from to suit your skin and hair colour.

4.  Lily Cole Lip & Cheek Dome  Why oh why was this product limited edition and why didn't I stock up?! This was part of the Lily Cole collection for Body Shop earlier this year and is no longer available to buy.  I know it says lip and cheek but I only use it on my cheeks.  I use a brush to help build up a natural flush of colour.  This has fast become my favourite blusher and I wear it pretty much everyday.  Which means it's running out fast.  Thankfully I have seen a few sellers on eBay that have it so I think I will stock up on there.  I have this in colour Pinch Me Pink but it was also available in Crazy For Coral (which I have seen on eBay too).

5.  Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain I love these.  Such an easy product to use with a lovely colour pay off.  (Full review here) The one pictured, Darling, is the one I've used the most, it's a nice day time colour.  There are 7 colours to choose from so if you don't have one I suggest you go out and give them a go.

So there you go, my favourite products.  Are any of these your favourite products too or have you been inspired to give any of them a go? What were your favourite products of 2012?
I'm thinking of doing a favourite nail products of 2012 next... See you next time.
